A devastating attack leaves young pilgrim Talen Enns orphaned and haunted by a single question: Why did God spare his life when everyone else died?
Thirteen years later, as the winds of holy war sweep across Europe toward the Holy Land, Talen embarks on a perilous journey to Jerusalem to fulfill the vow he made after his parents' death: to complete their pilgrimage. Yet beneath that promise lies a deeper quest—to uncover God’s purpose for sparing him. Committed to living out Jesus’ gospel of peace, Talen finds himself tested by a world where faith is wielded as a weapon—a world determined to pull him toward war.
Perfect for fans of medieval historical fiction and faith-driven stories, Talen’s Quest explores one of the great questions of the turbulent Crusading era: Can a follower of Christ remain true to the gospel of peace in a world consumed by holy war?
